SOMERSWORTH, March 8, 2022—Kevin Zent, MD, a primary care physician at Goodwin Community Health in Somersworth, will be presented with the Outstanding Clinician of the Year award.  An honor given annually by Bi-State Primary Care Association, the award will be given at the Bi-State’s Primary Care Conference on May 17, 2022. The Outstanding Clinician Award honors primary care clinicians whose exemplary skills and service have made a significant impact on the health of underserved patients and the communities in which they serve. Dr. Zent is among ten providers in New Hampshire and Vermont to be recognized for their work in expanding access to primary health care.

“In every health care institution there are bedrock physicians. Those individuals, who are always willing to see the extra patient, help a nurse with triage or research a complicated medical presentation. Doctor Zent is that colleague,” said Joann Buonomano MD, chief medical officer of Greater Seacoast Community Health.  “His love for humanity is at the core of our community health center and serves a source of sustaining the power and the energy needed for the many years of work ahead of us.

Dr. Zent has provided care with Greater Seacoast Community Health at their Goodwin location in Somersworth since August of 2011 after spending five years in Family Practice with OB at Greenfield Family Practice in Greenfield, Ohio. Here he also delivered 25 – 30 babies a year at Fayette County Memorial Hospital in Ohio. Dr. Zent earned his MD in 2003 at University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky and completed the Christ Hospital/University of Cincinnati Family Medicine Residency Training Program in 2006. He also holds a B.S. in History from Asbury College.
