Sliding-Fee Discounts & Insurance Help

We Help Uninsured and Underinsured People at Our Health Centers

If you don’t have health insurance, or if you have insurance that doesn’t cover all the services you need, our community health centers in Portsmouth and Somersworth  can help you explore your options for getting insurance. We also offer patients a sliding-fee discount when using our medical, dental, behavioral health, substance use treatment or pharmacy services.

Get Insurance at our Seacoast Community Health Centers

Enrollment counselors at our nearby community health centers will help New Hampshire residents learn about options for affordable health insurance through the New Hampshire Marketplace and Medicaid. They can also help you enroll in a Marketplace or Medicaid plan. Learn more about Insurance Enrollment Help.

Take Advantage of our Sliding Fee Scale

If you are not eligible for any insurance plan, we invite you to apply for a discount based on your income. You can also apply for a discount on services that your health insurance doesn’t pay, such as non-covered services or services applied toward your deductible. For example, if you have Medicare, you can apply for a discount on dental services because Medicare doesn’t cover dental services.

To apply, fill out the Sliding Fee Application.

Please Note

The application is included in the intake form for new patients, so if you filled out that form in the past year and your information has not changed since then, you’re all set!

If you have questions, call Families First in Portsmouth or contact Goodwin Community Health in Somersworth.

After we receive your application, we’ll call you to schedule your first appointment and let you know how much it will cost.
