Jonathan Morency joined Families First in September 2023, seeing patients of all ages, from newborns to senior citizens. With three years of experience in family primary care and community health, Jonathan brings a unique background to his role. Before pursuing nursing, Jonathan earned a degree in civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire and engineered roadways, foundations, and dam projects in Boston for seven years. However, his growing interest in human biology and a strong sense of community health drove him to make a career change.
Jonathan completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, followed by a one-year family primary care fellowship at Thundermist Health Center in Rhode Island. After working for an additional two years, he is eager to return to his hometown in New Hampshire to provide whole-person, patient-centered care to marginalized communities. Jonathan’s expertise spans the entire lifespan, and he is well-equipped to address the diverse health care needs of his patients. His goal is “to reduce health disparities by providing excellent healthcare in a safe space for patients of all genders, orientations, and backgrounds.”
Outside of work, Jonathan finds solace and joy in nature, including hiking, skiing and gardening.
